What We're All About

Power Surfers is a best of the web internet site directory. It was created by Marvin K. Jurgens and was uploaded for the first time in 1997. The site took about 8 months to make, it contained 28 pages when it was first put online, it currently has 145 pages and it's still growing (and probably always will). Marv codes with EZPad 3.0 a great free editor which we have a download link for on our main page. Marv first got on the internet in 1993, and like everyone else, muddled through 1,000s of websites served up by search engines looking for sites with the info he wanted. When his bookmark file was almost as big as his hard drive (of course hard drives weren't very big back then), he got a notebook and started writing down his favorite URLs so he could clean out his bookmark file. After 4 years of this an idea formed, why not make a website with links to all these URLs for everyone to use.

Power Surfers is born, armed with his collection and that of others in our group he designed a huge but easy to navigate website. Since it went online we have strived to make it the best, adding thousands of new links, reducing graphic size so it will load faster, we want it to be the place you come to find what you want fast. As of this writing, we have been online for about 2 years it has been updated 7 times and redesigned 3 times. We do not use frames (hate 'em), we do not use music (loads slower and you aren't here for that) we want to be your utlimate start page, your on ramp to the web.
